About David Posey
It's all "smoke and mirrors, and really great lighting". That’s the mantra of Alexandria, Va., based photographer, David Posey. David focuses on capturing the hidden beauty and drama of everyday life. He's a graphic designer by trade, and passionate photographer when time allows. Florida born and raised, he started capturing landscapes and nature shots at 16, with his first 35mm camera. Being based in Northern Virginia, now allows David the opportunity to hone his skills in and around the Nation’s Capital. He's also an avid traveler, and enjoys spending time capturing the beauty and flavor of wherever it is he's landed. His favorite compliment about his work is, "you see things differently".
"When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence."
— Ansel Adams
